After yersterday's beautiful sunny warm weather it was almost impossible to image that today the skies would be gray and rainy all day... that's not counting that you live in Paris. The city with the unforcastable weather.
I spent the entire afternoon waiting for the rain. No, I'm not a fatalist or a pesimist or an aquaphile... I'm just one of those people that really likes rainy days. I like to see the rain pour down and clean everything, the streets, the sidewalks, the trees... I love the smell of rain and the smell after the rain is long gone. I love the feeling of being inside my warm cozy home and hearing the rain drops gently tapping on my windows. I love the fresh clean sensation that lingers in the air after a rainstorm.
Today's grey skies anounced a mighty rainstorm... or so we thought.
I waited... and waited.... and waited...
.... but the rain never came.
And now the skies have slowly gone from that grey misty color to the gentle dark blue that precedes nightfall.
I hope the rain still decides to come though.... if there is one thing I like more than rainy days, it's rainy nights.

I know just what you mean... just passed an afternoon quite similar to yours - weatherwise. However, here we actually got thunder and lightning... the only thing missing was the deluge! (we did get a bit of sprinkling though). Hope you get your rain soon.
I also like the rain and the rainstorm, one common point ...with you !? helene
Minshap, Hélène: Rain is always a nice thing... when you're warm and cozy inside... NOT when you're sightseeing in London. ;)
