Ok, this is not an everday event but I can't help posting about it in this project.
Last week I had the possibility to get two tickets to the Manu Chao concert at Bercy at a really good price through my company. I've never been a die-hard fan of Manu Chao. I like his music but after a couple of songs I feel it gets repetitive. Still, it seemed like a fun thing to do and it'd been a while since hubby and I went to a live concert so I thought what the heck?
Today's picture was taken as we waited for the stadium to fill up and the concert to begin. The woman in front of us was reading an article in Le Monde about the drop in consumption in France at the wake of the financial crisis... and here we are a few minutes before Manu Chao's concert is supposed to begin... it just felt so... bizare.
Anyway. The concert was fantastic. The Bercy stadium filled up (hubby guesses we were around 15 000 people) and Manu Chao and the Radio Bemba (the band that plays with him) made sure we kept dancing and singing the entire time. If you have a chance to catch this concert in your city, I definetly recommend it.

WOW! You do get around! What a treat! And in the picture you can see that there were definitely a LOT OF PEOPLE! And I doubt if anyone else was reading the financial news... you just got lucky! How many other photographers can boast of such a shot??
Minshap: Yeah... the concert was a blast although... I still think Manu Chao gets repetitive after while. But they do put on a great great great show. I was going to post a small video of one of the songs they played last night but it was taking AGES to upload to youtube so I said forget it. I also didn't get ONE single usable picture of Manu Chao. From where we were sitting somehow made all my pics come out blurry. :(

Definitely not someone I'd want to go to the concert with. lol. Was she at least able to be a little cheery after reading all that doom and gloom?

Misschris: I'm not sure really... when the concert started and the lights went out and the music began everything else was forgotten... even the Le Monde lady! ;)
Christian: Hey Chamuco!!! A decir verdad el Manu Chao me recuerda mucho a ti (aunque a diferencia de ti, él esta un poco chaparrito)... que buena onda que estas blogeando. Siempre has tenido un talento inato para eso de la pluma!! Un besote.
