Day 3 - River gazing

Sometimes when I tell people that I am an assistant I get that look. The one that means "oh, I'm sorry for you". It's gone a second later and I really don't mind because I'm not out to concquer the corporate world, but, ok, I get it. Being a P.A. might not strike you as the most glamorous of jobs.

However, what would you say if I told you my office has a direct view over the Seine river? How's that for glamorous?

Every morning I walk into my office, hang up my coat, put water to boil for my tea and gaze out my window at the sparkling river below as I wait for my computer to turn on. Throughout the day, it is such a stress reliever to be able to stop what I'm doing for one second, turn my head 90° to the right and suddenly feel like I'm miles away facing a flowing river and not anyway near that darn screen.

On rainy or cloudy days I like to see the stormy waters get all riled up and on clear blue-sky days like today the view can make me forget all about the stuffy offices I'm stuck in.

I got this office because nobody wanted it as it was small and the farthest down the hall from the Big Boss' office. But somehow I feel I came out with the higher hand in the tradeoff.....

.... not bad for a little mexican P.A., n'est ce pas???

Ok, so that is just dreamy my dear. How many little Mexican girls dream of looking out their window at a river in Paris?

Felicidades chica, que buena onda.

Mamacita: Thanks! It makes for great excuses to procrastinate during the day (daydreaming, mentally scheduling boating lessons, checking the river for traffic, etc...)

Cancun Canuck: A poco no? ;)

Misschris and Mexico Way: Thanks you guys! I'm really glad I grabbed this office too! Otherwise, I'm pretty sure I'd quit my job a looooooong time ago!!! ;)

who would've thought that after the 'desmadre' that your bedroom used to be growing up, you'd have your office so neat and clean 'wey' ;)

PS. great office

Xi: Ejem.... the desmadre was never mine... it was Carmen's... (he-he)... I AM a virgo after all... order is a pathological obsession for us. ;)
