.... and thus was born a star ! Not only did André's crêpes turn out fantastic but he realized that the kitchen was not just that place one went to grab milk from the fridge to go with cookies.... he realized that good cooking was a direct consequence of liking good food.... and as André is a big old gourmand..... well....
Fast foward 17 years to last saturday evening when Adrien & Hélène came to our place to test my husband's culinary expertise. The evening went quite nice... we talked a lot, we drank a lot and of course we ate a lot !
André cooked for us a delicious entrée of grilled coquilles St Jacques, followed by the plat fort : Coeur de rumsteak au fois gras, green asparagus and gratin dauphinois... and then the real treat was served : home made tiramisu !!!You can imagine what a lovely evening we spent and even heated arguments like our different points of view concerning the (french/mexican/american) health systems were overshaddowed by the delicous food, nice candlelight and great wine.
By now you can guess how my story ends : " ..... and Francine lived happily ever after..... outside the kitchen! "

:D
