(preparations for the packing of Arturo el Russo's "Calle Melancolia" in Mérida)

Once you arrive at the airport, there's all the waiting : waiting to check your bags, waiting to pass security, waiting at the bathroon, waiting to board the plane.... Long and slow lines for everything !
(the "Calle Melancolia" leaving Cancun airport)

Then, there's the connection.... there is almost always a "connection transfer" which means getting off of Airplane 1 in Hall A, retrieving your luggage (when in the US), going through customs, checking in your luggage, finding Hall B, boarding Airplane 2 -- all in a period of time usually 30 minutes short of what you really need.

Getting to your destination airport doesn't always mean the end of this already tiring experience. There is the waiting for your luggage to come out of the rotating belt... somehow, everyone else's bags always come out before yours which usually show up just around the time you're getting ready to stand in the line denominated "Report Lost Luggage".

And let's not forget the trip within the trip : getting from the aiport back home. Thankfully, once this is done, there is only one last little task to perform : the unpacking... This is usually when you discover the unhappy surprise that some of your carefully packed items didn't survive the trip ....

Pfffff ! Travelling can be very tiring indeed! I need some vacations to recover from my vacations !!!
