So far and yet...

It's been pretty scary reading about Dean. To think that only two weeks ago we were out CAMPING in Xpu-há beach which is right now in the path of a Category 5 hurricain! To think that we have family and friends that live in Mérida and when last we heard from them they were preparing to take on another "Wilma", "Katrina", "Gilberto"....


It's been hard getting info here about how the "other" cities are doing after the passing of hurricain Dean... by other I mean the cities in the Yucatán peninsula that aren't "vacation-leaflet worthy"... I'm guessing Mérida, Progreso, Valladolid should be relatively ok... but what about Chetumal or Campeche?

And what about the path that Dean is preparing to take?


We really should stop kidding ourselves that global warming is not an issue.
