Since Lisa is not a conventional gal, we of course, did not have a conventional weekend. No visits to the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower, instead a great afternoon strolling around in the Père Lachaise cementery visiting the tombs of Oscar Wilde, Proust and Jim Morrison... No travelling by the french underground metro but instead renting bikes and peddeling all across town while getting a lovely tan and much needed fresh air.... No chic boutique shopping, but instead hitting the small vintage shops that sell more trash than not but where one can find an ocasional treasure or two.... No french grastronomical tasting, instead great conversations at André & mine's regular Italian or Sushi joints... (although we did have a lovely wine and cheese tasting at home one evening that ended in me finally understanding the difference between a Bordeaux and a Bourgogne)... No fancy dinner on a boat strolling along the Seine with the moon shining above us as a perfect end to a perfect weekend, but instead a fun and fulfilling dinner at our favorite mom and pop restaurant: Chez Papa (for those who came to our wedding, remember that place?).

In all we had an amazing time and Lisa and I got to catch up on the past 5-7 years... we realized we'd both changed in so many ways in the eyes of the other but for the time of a weekend it seemed that we were still up at UE giggling away like two teenage school girls.

Sounds like a wonderful reunion but don't stop celebrating yet! Remember, today is a special one! Hope it's a truly good one for you and André... guess the celebrations aren't over yet!
Hey, Paola Francine, I am very envious of that royal dinner, and am considering myself lucky to also have such a fantastic chef for a husband! Happiest of birthdays, and hope to see you later this year in San Antonio. GREAT PIC's, Andre took in Yucatan!
Love, Aunt Marcy
