The journey has always been about laughing together, loving each other, seeking adventure, believing in our dreams and making a difference...... but sometimes we forget.
Get a second degree burn by spilling boiling hot soup on your hand during lunch at the cafeteria, run to your nearest pharmacy and drop serious dough in the midst of agony coming from the pain and fear of scaring.
Fned For the scarring, I was told that lavender oil, real lavender oil really soothes burns and aids in preventing scarring.
I bet you can find that in Paris though I know it is expensive. You want to get as close to pure lavender oil as you can.
There is also a over the counter burn/scarring cream that I have used for my boys. Though they are so young that their skin heals quickly. I think it's called Mederma.
I'll bet that there's an equivalent in Paris. If you google it, you can get a list of the ingredients and find something similar. But the lavender oil was highly recommended to me.
Good luck and so sorry to hear about your accident :-(
:( owww oh Fned, are you ok now? Forget about the money, the important is that you are ok. The most important hee is to keep it nice and clean, so it won't get infected. Dont worry, you won't have a horrible scar. p.s tepezcohuite? era eso lo que se ponían para las quemaduras? estará en chino encontrarlo en Pariiii :S cuídate chica!
For sure let the air get to it! And yes, keep it clean... remember when Car burned his hand really bad? Maybe you were too young at the time to remember that... anyway, there were no meds involved, just cold water at the beginning and regular trips to the Seg. Soc. for "curación" which entailed scraping off the dead skin. It took a few weeks but the scars are unnoticeable. You have to REALLY scrutinize to see them, and even then, it's kinda neat - like a badge for bravery... but DO TAKE CARE GIRL!!! Just a thought: Can you sue the cafeteria??? First of all. Hope you are okay. That sounds awful. Second... on the more info of things to do, aloe is the best. Also nothing oil based (at least initially) it keeps the heat in even if feels smoothing.
reminds me of the time when my husband and i were living in the states and he was craving some good Spanish potaje. So he cooked up some cocido. Well, he was too impatient to wait for the pressure cooker saftey to go down and decided to force the thing open. He burned his entire arm and has since been known as "Ham Hock", cause his arm looked like one. This also goes down in history as one of the dumbest things he´s ever done.
