A Woman's Prayer
Dear Lord :
So far today, I am doing all right. I have not gossiped, lost my temper, been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish or self indulgent. I have not whined, cursed or eaten any chocolate. However, I am going to get out of bed in a few minutes, and I will need a lot more help after that.

I'm a woman who will never understand other women's fascination with shoes... actually, I do like shoes but I like them to be ABOVE ALL COMFORTABLE... and that seems to be unimportant in terms of fashion. So I can see the reason for 3 pairs of black shoes - sandals, pumps and flats, but not 5 and NEVER 10. How would I ever make up my mind which ones to wear???

you need to read "my mother, myself" by Nancy Myers... then you'll understand... just remember, she was the daughter when she wrote it... it would be interesting to hear her mother's point of view!

I think that Mindy be right ,but Francine's judgment is understandable , a (very) young women who live and work in ihe city of Paris , in front of all temptations ! ( I'm the mother -in-low !)
Well, I for one love shoes. Oh, and purses! You missed that one on your list.

That girl: Oh Definetly! Purses are a MUST! And not only that! Try finding THE perfect purse! It's like finding the perfect hairdresser: a next to impossible task.
When you finally stumble upon THE purse that holds all your junk w/o looking bulky, lets you find your keys/cell/pen without having to dump all your stuff out, is comfortable to wear AND looks fabulous in any situation... well... let's just say no lame argument such as "you can't afford it" stands a chance... LOL
