Many places in Paris are magical... you have the beautiful non-turistic Park of Monceau or the intriguing Père Lachaise cementry, the impressive Hôtel de Ville or the ever chic quartier of the 7th arrodissment... but I find that the most magical place of all is the little unpretencious rue de Mouffetard.
You may of heard of it in the Amelie film... or heard people talk about the Latin quarter in Paris... I think nothing describes de rue mouffetard better than saying it is so.... Paris!
Ok, so it's a bit turistic but what's neat is that despite being turistic it stays so... authentic.

From the little wine or cheese shops......

.... to the chocolate makers and the bakeries

To the small bars and the small church at the bottom of the hill....
When I first arrived in Paris the taxi took Ada and me to the "Young and Happy" youth hostel located at 25 rue de Moufftard.
We had never been in Paris, had no idea what arrondissements were and hadn't a clue of what a rue even looked like ... but the rue Mouffetard sure gave us a great parisian welcome !

Ever since... whenever I walk up its pebbled street I always feel like I have just "magically" landed in Paris again for the first time...
Want a little more info on the rue mouffetard ?
:D
