Hi there ! Ok, as I know I've been really bad about emailing, I've come up with a way to try and stay in touch with everyone... I've decided to hop on to the e-wagon and create a blog... I actually got the idea from my friend Abbie who's got a really cool Blog for daughter Eleuthera Jean going on.... I find myself checking her webpage almost everyday and it helps to keep in touch when distance poses a bit of a problem.... so why not do the same with family and loved ones ?
After all, emails aren't the only way of sharing the little things that happen in life and that keep people connected... so here goes... my very first post !

oops, had a cup of java, and now i get it! Ha ha...Steve and I just got back from Houston, where we attended "wedding party" for Scott and Alison Mellon. What fun! I saw relatives I hadn't seen in 30 years. From little kid to adult with children -- yikes! Also, Michael Mellon announced his wedding date -- June 30! His, fiance, Kelly, is a wonderful, lively gal! Anyway, hope you have a great day!

Hey! Guess what? Today is Children's Day (día del niño) and poor Sam had to go to school! One more thing before I go: Marcy, hope you've got some pics of that momentous occasion in Houston! I would love to see - if only in photo form - "relatives I haven't seen in 30 years"!!
One more thing Pao, that's such great news about Abbie! Can't believe she already had her baby!A girl! Congrats to her and hubby. Les mando muchos saludos y un beso a su nueva hijita!
Hi there F-Ned - thanks for the shout out on your very first blog post. I am glad that I have been an inspiration to others - my dad says I am such an inspiration to him, he's going to start sleeping 18 hours a day, eating every two hours, and crying if he doesn't have the full attention of everyone in the room.

Hi Francine Ned! (I got it, too!) This is my first time at blogging!! (never even seen a blog before, ha-ha!)Great to hear from you. I, too, was at the party in Houston (but Marcy has seen me in the last 30 years, so I wasn't one of those relatives!!) It really was a lot of fun, but of course, I ate way too much, including the mexican food lunch with Mimi and Poppy once back in Austin! It's an overcast, rainy day here, but actually a nice way to spend a Mon. afternoon now that I'm home. We're starting the countdown for school, only 4 more weeks left. HOORAY! Hi Francine! What a great idea..it's wonderful to hear from you! We, too, had a great time at Scott & Alison's wedding party in Houston! Infact..for those of us who didn't get to go to the actual wedding in Boston...Alison wore her wedding gown to the party in Houston! The BBQ was good, and seeing so many relatives was sooo much fun! We'll have to see about doing something like that for you and Andre` when you can visit us here in S.A. Hopefully soon!!! Love you, and hugs to Andre`! MiMi
